Robert (Bob) A. Krouse, Jr., age 60, of Columbus, drummed his way into Heaven Friday, May 26, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. A dedicated father and grandfather he was born July 7, 1956, to the late Robert and Mary (Graessle) in the Buckeye city, and predeceased by his brother Joseph M. Krouse. The man with a heart of gold larger than his chest, is survived by: his children, Joseph (Jacquelyn) Krouse and Emily (Thomas) Rosprim; his grandchildren Cheyenne Armstrong, Lucas and Olivia Rosprim; his siblings Christy (Don) McCarty, Harold (Virginia) Krouse, Susan (David) Conley, Charles (Robin) Krouse, and Annie (Ed) Brady; his longtime girlfriend Barbara Blake and subsequent extended family Missy (Justin) Stonerock, Logan, Hailee, and Katelynn; as well as many nieces and nephews. ‘Kaptain Krunch’ (aka Drummer Bob) graduated from Mifflin High School in 1974 where he was known for playing the bass drum while standing on his head. After 35 five years of service he retired from the State Auto Insurance Companies. A member of several local bands over the years, Sapphire, Random Moment and Wild Country Outlaw Band, the better than average golfer enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren more than anything in the world and leaves behind an unmatched legacy of love and devotion. At Bob’s request, there will be no service but a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Ohio State James Fund for Life.
