Robert D. Foster

Robert D. Foster, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 16, 2017. Bob was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 31, 1923 to the late Raymond and Faye (Davis) Foster. Bob was a proud graduate of West High School Class of 1942. He served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Bob retired after 35 years of service from Ohio Bell. He was a longtime member of Glenwood United Methodist Church where he belonged to the United Methodist Men and the Wednesday Work Crew. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Hilltop Lions Club. Preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 62 years, Ruth I. Foster. Survived by his children, David (Mikey) Foster and Cathy (Larry) Carr; grandchildren, Amy (Bryan) Hartman, Scott (Kellie) Foster, Andy (Sarah) Carr, Doug (Maryam) Foster and Emily (Jeff) Funk; 12 great grandchildren; and dear friend, June Beard. Please join the family in honoring Bob's life from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2833 Valleyview Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43204 with Pastor Jeffrey Mullinix officiating.
