My dear, sweet Bobby. Over 40 years of laughter, tears, successes and struggles, we could count on each other and had a truly unique friendship. You were the kindest, most considerate man I've ever met. We crossed paths on a sunny, Sunday afternoon when he was working part-time at a local gas station, while finishing college. I was on a bike ride, took a break for some ice cream, and to people-watch for a bit. After my "treat," I stopped by the gas station to check the pressure in my tires, when out walked this REALLY CUTE guy! (He hated being called, "Cute,") to offer his help. As he's telling me that he usually avoids helping folks with bike tires, he proceeded to blow mine! I walked home... The next time I saw Bobby, I was in my car and refused his help, explaining these tires were a lot more expensive. The look on his handsome face, is a favorite, precious memory. We joked that our friendship started with a bang! I remember him telling me about Scott's reaction to hearing my name the first time; "Charla Edel, what's that, her stage name?" He called Christopher Cross's "Sailing," our song. It always seemed to come on the radio, on his way to my house. I have over 4 decades of fond memories to hold onto, yet it wasn't long enough.  Dragging me out in the dead of winter, to see the rings of Saturn, our hysterical move to Florida, and learning to dance to reggae with our toes in the sand. He helped me beat cancer, and took care of the household while I worked full-time, and attended college, once we got here. My family adored Bobby, especially Mom, and my Grandmother, who loved that he'd challenge her to a Dominoes duel. I miss you, beautiful and cherished man. I will carry you in my heart until we meet again, in Heaven. I love you forever, my Bobby.

Dear Mr. Chrisman's Family and Friends, 

Simic CPA & Company, Parma, Ohio, we have never had the opportunity to meet Bob in person, he has  helped us since November 2015 through his job. We just found out this morning of his passing on May 2nd, 2022. 

 We felt compelled to write all of you. Bob was kindest person we have ever met by phone in any situation. 

We had some  problems with several clients which he took the time to help us with. While he couldn't answer all our questions he directed us to the person who could give us the correct answers. 
At the time of the pandemic when tempers were short, and people overworked, he gave us all the encouragement to be patience and  caring.  

We are very saddened today of learning that God  needed his help more then we do.  His very upbeat  “Hello”, his thoughtfulness in always asking how everyone's family was and also, how everyone was doing personally, he will be greatly missed.

Dear Mr. Chrisman's Family and Friends,

I have never had the opportunity to meet Bob in person, he helped me in a professional manner through his job.  When I found out he passed I felt strongly compelled to write all of you.  

Bob was the nicest and most kind person I have ever met on a phone maybe in any situation.  I "met" Bob a few months into the pandemic , when I had some very stressful problems and questions that arose, I talked to him for help.  While he couldn't answer my questions directly, he spent a lot of time trying to find the answers or the person who could give me the correct answers.  At a time when tempers were short, and people overworked, he gave me patience and all the time in the world.  I spoke to him a few times since and always felt lucky that I knew someone this awesome.   After my conversations with him, I would say to others, he has got to be one of the nicest men in the world.  

I am truly very saddened today, to think that the world has lost such a man, and much closer and more importantly, that all of you lost such a good person.  My heart goes out to all of you... May the world all find our inner Bob, and pass kindness and patience on to everyone else, the way it should be.

Dear Betsy, Jan, Scott and families,

So very sorry to learn of Bobby's passing.  Still have many good memories of when we were all young and growing up on the Hilltop.
Always think of you guys when I drive by the house on N. Ogden.  I will miss the first Christmas card we receive each year,  always from "Bob".  Please accept our deepest sympathy, I am sorry we will miss today's service.

Bob was a wonderful neighbor in our Summit Chase condo community.  We counted on seeing him at condo board meetings, and his comments were always positive and constructive.  He was a peacemaker.  He served on the condo board for several years and was elected as secretary.  His minutes are a model for comprehension and lovely prose.   Bob was a regular at condo social events and was always 'in the spirit' of the party.   Every April 15th, we would hold a Tax Day Party, and Bob always came dressed as Uncle Sam.  He was such fun!  This picture shows Bob at a recent Tax Day party in his full regalia, along with his dear friend Ellen.   Rest in peace, Bob.

My and our deep condolences to the family. I have worked with Bob for the last 15 years and he was such an exceptional character. He never had a bad word to say to or about anyone. He seemed to have a nickname for those he know and referred to me as "Rockin' Jon". I will miss him very much for the joy he brought to my life.

Hello.  I want to say that I am so sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.  I worked with Bob in OUIO.   We were not in the same section, but all of my interactions with him were positive, he was always kind, mannerly and a good worker.   God will surely sustain and comfort you all in the days to come.

There are so many wonderful memories 25 years of memories. I have tucked away in my heart. There are so many cherished moments. Our pre-dawn star gazing. Haleys comet, meteor showers, he would pick a spot darkest so we would have our own show. We could hear them whooshing by.. Magical site. I will always love him and yes Bob we will meet in heaven. Bob was more than a coworker... he was my friend.  We would listen to Jazz and have Bailey's over ice and he always said he loved my cooking.  LOL...  I cherished his visits and we could talk for hours.  We talked or IM'd almost every single day once we were sent home due to COVID.    I miss your kind soul and beautiful smile.

May the memories your family shares give them peace and joy remembering all the laughter and adventures you shared.  My condolences to your siblings, nieces and nephews.    I will miss you forever, my dear friend.  I love you!

The last time I saw him was at a funeral home. I think it was for Mark Imboden. So sorry for your loss. May God comfort your family.

We were dismayed and shocked following the passing of our neighbor, Bob Chrisman.  He was one of the friendliest, kindest, and most pleasant residents of Summit Chase.  His tenure on the Board of Directors was genuinely productive, and his portrayal of Uncle Sam at our Fourth of July Lobby parties was memorable.

We will miss his jolly greetings as we encountered him as he strolled around the building from time to time.
