Richard W. "Rick" Rogers

Richard W. "Rick" Rogers, age 57, died Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was born March 23, 1958 to the late Russell Jennings and Betty Mae Rogers and was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jenna. Rick is survived by his sons, Evan and Trevor Rogers; siblings, Karen (Howard) Miller, Robert Rogers, and Janet Lawwell; other family and friends. Rick worked for 7up American Bottling Company for 29 years. He was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan serving as a Redcoat for 29+ years. Rick was active in various sports including coaching his sons in several sports, serving as Commissioner to the Northern Columbus Athletic Association for many years, and Vintage Baseball with the Columbus Capitals and the Muffins where he was known as "Outhouse". Rick enjoyed Disc Golf and also spent his vacation time working at the Ohio State Fair. He will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends. Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.) Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday.
