Raymond Herbert "Herb" Scott, age 77, passed away April 29, 2017. He was born April 29, 1940 to Raymond and Harriet Scott who are preceding him in death. Also preceding him in death are siblings; James and Betty Ray. Herb is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Peggy Scott, son; Brian (Alissa) Scott, daughter; Debra (Tony) Miller, sisters; Janie, Beverly, Trudy, and Joan. Herb attended college at Memphis State and completed two and a half years before beginning work at Hart's Bakery where he met Peggy. Herb began working for Tubelite Co. Inc. in Memphis in 1965 and was transferred to Columbus in 1968, retiring in 2007 after 42 years of dedication and service. During his very successful career he achieved many distinguished awards and coveted positions. One of his most notable awards was the Central Ohio Sign Association Distinguished Service Award in 2007. This was the first year for this particular award. Herb was a member of the Indian Run United Methodist Church and served as a trustee member. Herb enjoyed playing golf and watching anything Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a very loving and caring person with a humorous phrase "lemme' know". If you wish donations may be made in Herb's memory to the charity of your choice.
