Raymond Diamond

Raymond Diamond, 94, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at home. He was born on July 6, 1928 in Columbus, OH to the late William and Lillie Diamond. Ray was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness. He attended the Eastgate Congregation. Ray was a loving and giving man who enjoyed helping anyone and everyone. He was a hard worker and a caregiver to his family. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Shirley Diamond; sons, Stanley Jackson, Calvin Straughter, Raylynn Diamond, and Charles Henry Straughter; grandchildren, Raylynn Diamond II, Calvin Straughter II, Cameron Straughter, and Diamondnique Diamond; siblings, Joseph Gladden, Edward Gladden, William Diamond, Jr., Earline Thomas, Clara Carson, and Ann Hunter. He is survived by children, Mary Straughter, Kevin (Jakki) Straughter, and Stacey Diamond; grandchildren, Deedy Jones, Joslynn (Randy) Cash, Shamicka (Jevon) White, Stacey (Takisha) Diamond, Jason Smith, Tony (Bri) Smith, Kristina (Marchion) Napier, Kevin Straughter II, and Casyndra Straughter; a host of great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 11 am until 12 pm Monday, September 26, 2022 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 12 pm.
