Raymond W. Chapman, age 92, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Ray was born on August 24, 1930 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Floyd and Lulu Chapman. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Borden Dairy after 34 years as a Milkman. Ray was a member of Teamster Union #284 and longtime member of The Church of Christ on Clime Road. He will be remembered as being a handyman and a very active person who could fix anything. Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lulu Chapman; wife, Carrie Chapman; sons, Gregory and Steve Chapman; brothers, Harold, Paul and Robert "Bob" Chapman; sisters, Nola (Penrod) Chapman and Grace (Crisp) Chapman. Survived by his grandson and caregiver, Raymond Chapman; daughter, Teresa Hacker; many other grandchildren, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 5-7 pm on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 with Bobby Smith officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Donations can be made to the family in the care of the funeral home to assist with expenses.
