Ray C. Williams, age 79, completed his journey on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born March 15, 1944 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Eugene H. and Agnes L. Williams. Ray was preceded in death by his two beloved sisters, Frances E. Williams and Judy A. Smith. He is survived by his brother Eugene G. Williams and two sisters, Mary Pullen (Ian) and Connie Figgins; nephews, Frank (Denise) Figgins and sons, Alex and Wesley, Kevin Pullen and Robert (Marie) Williams and their family; as well as many other relatives and friends. He earned degrees from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha national Fraternity; Washington State University, Washington and The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. After completing ROTC at the University of Kentucky, Ray’s journey included a four year (1967-1971) active-duty stint in the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of Captain. Following graduation from The Ohio State University, where he earned his Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Ray embarked on a 30-plus year consulting career developing Strategic Master/Facility Plans for hospitals and other healthcare organizations. He provided consulting services to over 120 clients across the United States, eastern Europe, and South America. Ray loved sailing especially in the San Francisco Bay area and was an UK sports fan. Ray requested that his family and friends celebrate his life by raising a glass of their favorite beverage in his memory.
