Phyllis Marie Mitchell

Phyllis M. Mitchell, age 69, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday June 29, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Smith, mother Elizabeth Mitchell, father Norman Barnett, and brother Eugene Barnett. Phyllis is survived by her children; Lorianne (Brian) Callahan, Karen (Erick) Tribune, Melvin Mitchell and Nicole Mitchell, grandchildren; Latoya (Damon), Robert (Edna), Nathaniel, Darrell, Danielle, Germonty, Cne', Mya, and 16 great grandchildren, siblings; Marvin (Sonjia), Herb (Connie), Emmagene, Richard, Lib, Mary Louise and Khair, nephews and nieces; Marvin Jr, Marcus, Marchelle, Kim, Cassie, Carmen, Cameron, Eddie, and Adrienne, special friends; Joe and Elberta. She was the Clerk Treasurer for the Village of Urbancrest for 34 years. She loved her family, working for the Village, gardening, reading and puzzles, family dinners and cooking her homemade macaroni and cheese and fried chicken. Special thanks to the Neuro Critical Care at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Visitation will be held on Monday July 8, 2013 from 11-1pm at the Bethel Apostolic Church 2809 Maple St. Urbancrest, OH where funeral service will be held at 1pm at the Church with Elder Marvin Mitchell and Pastor Richard Lyles officiating. Interment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Franklin County MRDD in her name.
