Phillip Ray Estepp, age 75 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 27, 2011, following a four month battle with cancer. Phil was born on March 2, 1936 to the late Homer Roy and Juanita Estepp in Chattaroy, WV. He entered the US Navy in 1953 and was honorably discharge after finding out he was a minor. Phil then enlisted into the US Marines and served his country for 4 years. Phil worked as a security guard for several banks including Ohio National Bank before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and horses. He loved to dance and sing. Phil and Christine visited Branson many times over the years to see musical shows. He will be remembered for the entertaining stories he told of his younger years, but most importantly for being a good husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine Estepp; children, Ronald (Carla) Cassady, Carolyn “Susie” (Ed) Cordova, Phyllis Estepp, Jim (Vicky) Estepp and Shawn Estepp; grandchildren, Sean, Ronnie, Kristen, Bethany, Kelsey, Brooke, Chesney, Jayden, Logan and Grayson; great-grandson, Henry; step-grandchildren, Jordan and Brittany; sisters, Janet Wright and Wanda Ross; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Danny Estepp. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W.
