Peggy L. Ball

Peggy L. Ball, 84, of Columbus, Ohio passed away at home on Monday, March 4, 2024. She was born in Ellen, Kentucky on November 28, 1939 to the late Oscar Reid and Pearlie (Thompson) Ball. Peggy retired from United McGill Corporation in payroll. She enjoyed watching basketball and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan. Peggy loved music and often enjoyed playing the guitar with her family’s band. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde, Oscar, John, and Lindsey Ball; sisters, Mildred and Ruby Jane Ball. Peggy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Randal Ball, Travis (Carrie) Ball, Rick (Wanda) McClure, Melanie Baldwin, Steve and Shela Gilley, Anita Hammond, Renee Williamson, Sue Peters, and Mike Ball; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43232. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, March 14th at the Ball Family Cemetery in Blaine, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, Peggy requested memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or to the ALS Association.
