Patricia Dawn Melfi

Patricia Melfi, age 85, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018. She was born on November 2, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Dwight and Bessie Shively. Pat graduated from The Ohio State University in 1992, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree. For many years she taught early childhood education at Delaware JVS Career Center. Pat was a professional skater, seamstress and artist. She was a lifelong Buckeye fan and enjoyed watching all sporting events. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Dr. Rudy Melfi; children, Mitch (Debbie) Melfi and Amy (Michael) Stahr; daughter-in-law, Tona Taylor; son-in-law, Rob Stradley; grandchildren, Chris (Shel) Melfi, Matt (Meghan) Melfi, Andrew Melfi, Aly Melfi (Eric Rice), Jon Melfi, Erica Hasburgh, Shelbie Stahr, Nicholas Stahr and Shane Stradley; and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her son, Eric Melfi; and daughter, Nanci Stradley. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.
