Patricia A Kulka

Patricia "Trish" Kulka, 68, of Powell, passed away on September 24, 2021. She was born on January 15, 1953 in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Anthony and Sarah (Clark) Ryan. In addition to her parents, Trish was preceded in death by her brother Michael Ryan.

Trish was the middle of five children and graduated from St. Peters High School in 1971. She attended the Ohio State University at the Mansfield campus. It was during her time there that she met her husband of over 48 years, Tom. After only six weeks of dating, they decided that they were meant to be together. They would go on to get married on top of Mt. Jeez at Malabar Farm on July 14, 1973.

Trish spent most of her career working for the Worthington School district. In her free time, she had a passion for working in her flower beds, taking evening walks with her husband, spending hours cuddling with her chinchilla Cheech watching movies, and spending all the time she could with her family. Trish was always keen to see new places, try new restaurants, and create new memories throughout her life.

Above all, Trish was all about family. She was a doting mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Whether it was reading, playing games, or spending time outside, Trish cherished time spent with her loved ones. She was always the one to bring everyone together and ensure that holidays were always special and well planned and family events were enjoyable and memorable.

Trish will be deeply missed by her husband, Tom Kulka; children, Jared (Nicole) and Seth Kulka; grandchildren, Reise and Karsen; sisters, Barbara Calkins, Diane (David) Dolland, and Kathi Ryan Petroff; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 5PM until 7PM, at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 North High St., Worthington OH, 43085. A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Rd., Powell OH, 43065.
