Pamela Gayle Wynsen

Pamela Gayle Wynsen died February 24, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry J. Wynsen, M.D. and Margarite Wynsen. She is survived by her 5 brothers and sisters and their spouses. She also has 11 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews that were a part of her heart.

She graduated from Ohio State University, worked for Battelle Institute for years as a Russian linguist, and after that she attended Capital University law school. After graduation she clerked for Justices Brown and Douglas. She then went on to draft and edit opinions for the Court. She loved the law and was a legend at the court for her command of it. She loved everyone at the court, especially her dear friend and co-worker Alicia Ellwing.

Besides being a wonderful lawyer, Pam had an artistic side to her as well. She deeply loved the little ones in her life and made book creations for them where each page was a work of art. These books were as carefully and lovingly polished as her editing of opinions for the Ohio Supreme Court.

Her legacy of love knew no bounds. Her abiding sweetness, generosity, and quick wit endeared her to all who knew her. Her heart, like her Mom’s, was full of love for those who helped animals and people. She lived and sowed goodness and that goodness occupied the ultimate level of her life’s decisions.

Her love for animals, and her sisters, Margo and Diane, and her brothers, Jim, John and David, was the true magic of Pam. Her nieces and nephews learned so much from her. Our lives were enriched by her heartfelt and loving presence. Her brother John Charles remarked, “she was the best of all of us”.

Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, March 2nd at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, at 6699 N. High St. where a memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3rd at 2 pm.
