Oliver “Ollie” Wyatt Moore III passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2022. He was born to Elaine and Oliver Moore in Cleveland, Ohio on October 25th, 1961. He graduated from Northland High School in 1980. He would then join the United States Air force, serving six years as active duty and sixteen years in the reserves. He then worked at the Franklin County Auditor’s office for twelve years. Following this, he worked for the Columbus Police Department for 21 years. He retired from the United States Air Force and from the Columbus Police Department. He was also the co-owner of Ridiculous Eatz.
Oliver enjoyed many sports, especially the Blue Jackets, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. He also loved spending his time at Lake Erie, visiting Put-In-Bay and Kelly’s Island whenever he got the chance. He also enjoyed playing the drums, taking his drum sticks everywhere he went. Oliver’s favorite music to listen to is Rock music, especially Tool. In his free time, you would find him at Fitzwilly’s. Oliver was everyone’s best friend, always lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His smile will be missed by many.
Oliver is survived by his parents Elaine and Oliver Moore Jr.; his siblings Cynthia Moore (Johnathan Cockrell), and Jeffrey Moore; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who all loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held for Oliver on Tuesday May 24th from 4:00pm-5:30pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow with Military and Police Honors at SCHOEDINGER NORTH 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, OH, 43229. The family asks that those in attendance wear Blue Jackets, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians fan gear to honor Oliver’s favorite sport’s team.
