Norma Jean (née Golden) Carpenter, age 82, passed away Thursday July 11, 2013. She was born July 7, 1931 to the late Okey and Ruby (Vance) Freeman. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time on the water at Buckeye Lake. She also enjoyed writing poetry, being with family, and cheering on her Ohio State Buckeyes. In addition to her parents, Norma Jean is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clare. She is survived by her children, Beverly Denney, Gail (Daniel) Koza, and Gary (Robbin) Golden; dog, Daisy; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Willie Hardman, Jerry (Mary) Freeman, Dick Freeman, Joyce (Mike) Wallace, and Valerie Hon; and many good friends. An intimate gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL.
