Nana Marie Young, 75, passed away peacefully, at home on Saturday, February 10, 2018. She was born May 6, 1942 in West Jefferson, Ohio to the late Emmitt and Marjorie (Harriot) Young. She was a 1960 graduate of West Jefferson High School and loved her time there as the lead majorette for the Roughriders. During her working career, Nana was a receptionist for several law firms and later retired from serving former mayor Cheryl Grossman at Grove City City Hall. Her family was very important to her and she cherished her time that she spent with them. She was a longtime member of The Naz and the Women's Civic Club of Grove City. Growing up, Nana took piano lessons from her mother. She loved to play old hymns on the piano and tend to her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Laura Marie Williams and brother, Ronald L. Young. Nana is survived by her loving daughter Jamie Young, and her son Kenneth Williams. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
