Mike was one us during our days together at the Lancaster High School. He was a true leader. Our base drummer in the LHS marching band. He was elected a class officer twice (VP, I think) because he was well liked and respected.

We shared a birthday (1/13) and experiences at “That Team Up North” as well as many memories from our days at FCCS. I admit you were more loyal to the U of M than I was...daring to come to work wearing Maize and Blue during the week leading up to the big rivalry games. Until we meet again, so long my friend.

Mike and I were coworkers for a short time but friends for years. Mike was passionate in his beliefs and I enjoyed our challenging discussions.  He also had a great sense of humor and strong love for family and friends.  I am glad to have known him. My condolences to all of his love ones.

Michael attended my sculpture class at the Cultural Arts Center. His retirement gave him the opportunity to pursue his creative side and discover his inner artist.  Michael completed many clay sculptures of animals which were his favorite subject.  We shared a love of animals and spent some class time discussing the latest baby to be born at the zoo or watching baby panda videos!
We have missed him in class and I will especially miss his quiet humor.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Mike's passing.  Mike was my supervisor in the Family Care and Foster Adoption Preparation Departments.  Mike cared about his work and was respected by many for his dedication and commitment.  We were able to challenge one another to do and be our best for the families and children served by FCCS.  
Mike was a devoted son and always spoke highly of his family and friends.   Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.

I will miss you Mike! You were my boss,friend I will miss all the talks we had you were there for me when Doug got sick and then even more after his death.

I worked with Mike in several capacities @ FCCS.  I found him to be extremely serious of his obligations to the families and children in Franklin County.  Always the professional, but he was also witty, and very nice to be around. He participated in many agency events and could always be counted on for potlucks! I am so sincerely sorry to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
