Michael Lee Moore

Michael Lee Moore, 71, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born September 25, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Helen (Uhrig) Moore. He was a 1964 graduate of Linden McKinley H.S. and served his country proudly as a U.S. Marine. Mike was retired from ATandT/Alcatel-Lucent Technologies. He loved animals and spent countless hours volunteering at The Columbus Zoo. He was also a Columbus Zoo Board Member. He enjoyed traveling the world. His family was very important to him and he cherished his time with them. Mike was a huge Ohio State Buckeye football fan and a season ticket holder for the past 41 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Bruce. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jill; daughters, Heather (John) Francek and Polly (Mike) Swenor; grandchildren, Zach and Ryan Francek, Joey and Joshua Raderstorf, and Ava Swenor; sister, Patricia (Hugh) Williamson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nehpews; beloved dog, Annie; and many dear friends. Visitation will be held 12-1:30 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment Grove City Cemetery.
