Michael is survived by loving wife of 25 years, Bernice McClain, children; Amber McClain, Kameron (Kayla) McClain, and Ashley McClain, step children; Byron Henderson and Shanice Henderson, grandchildren; Niyah, Chance, Karter, Kayden, Trnitti, Chloe, Adrian, and LaMiah, sisters; Gwendolyn Jones and Sheila McClain-Robinson, and beloved dog, Maxx, along with other dear family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, sister, Sandra, nephew, Josh and nieces, Taylor and Jordan.
Michael Graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School, attended St. Clair College in Dayton before moving to Columbus to attend DeVry College in which he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business management. In 1994 Michael, was nominated for being one of the most successful Black men in Columbus and was the top National Sales managers for his division for UPS. Michael loved the Ohio State Buckeyes football, really all football and basketball. He enjoyed watching the Olympics, and the Macys Parades. Some of his hobbies included, playing put-put, grilling, and going to art shows, concerts, comedy shows. He was adventurous and adored, traveling and sightseeing. He was a bright presence in people’s lives and will be missed deeply. In lieu of flowers, family will be accepting donations. Entrusted arrangements to EAST FUNERAL HOME.
