Melvin Carl Sunderland

Melvin Carl Sunderland, age 51, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 8, 2017. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 15, 1966. He worked for Aramark in Cincinnati. Melvin was a fantastic cook, he enjoyed fishing, music, and was an avid fan of The OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He never made enemies, only friends. Melvin was friendly, loved people, and always wore a smile. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Carl "Top Kat" Hammond. Melvin is survived by his loving wife, Denise Sunderland; children, Latisha (Mysti) Burris, Tiera Sunderland, Jessica Sunderland, Jazmyn Sunderland, and Justice Sunderland; grandson, Jayden; mother, Jo Ann Simpkins; brothers, Donnell (Darlene) Sunderland, Freddie Lunsford, and Derrick Russell; sister, Tonya Montgomery; mothers of his children and formers spouses, Lisa Decker and Roxann Carr; and a host of brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, family, and friends.
