Melvin Allen Green

Melvin was a loving father and grandfather who treasured spending time with his family. He enjoyed reggae music, festivals and was an avid sports fan. Melvin enjoyed every moment on the road driving for K-Line Express until he reluctantly retired in 2019. He loved hanging out with family and friends and looked forward to the reunions and gatherings every year.

Melvin will be sorely missed by his children Tyria (Brad) Scherer, Nikki Keen and Markel Daniels; grandchildren Marques Denney, Marqel Keen, Malasia Keen, Alana Scherer, Ellie Scherer, Drew Scherer, and Malayah Daniels; great grandchildren Myles Denney and Kay'Marie Johnson. He also leaves behind his brothers Robert (Suzanne) Green, Mark (Lisa) Green and Jeffri Green as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Melvin was a vibrant and loving man who brought fun to every gathering. He will be terribly missed.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Melvin's name to the American Lung Society, 55 W Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601. A celebration service in honor of Melvin's life will be held at a later date.
