Maxine Mae (Bobst) Lewis, age 84, of Blacklick, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2016. She was born to parents John H. Bobst, Jr. and Arlene Lavella "Babe" Bobst on September 2, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Maxine is preceded in death by granddaughter, Megan. Maxine will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, William A. "Bill" Lewis, Jr.; her children, Jody (John) Cain, John (Jodi), and Jeff (Jenny); and her grandchildren, James, Ryann, Grae, Makayla and Michael. Maxine was a graduate of South High School. Around her childrearing years, she worked at various places including Ohio Bell, Kobachers, The Limited, Avon and volunteered at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Maxine had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. Her interest included dancing, bowling, playing cards, golfing and reading; but her biggest passion was love of her family. Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Maxine's life on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 2-5pm at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232. Her funeral will be held there at 10am Saturday, April 30, 2016 with Pastor Tina Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
