Mary Lou Serif

Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary Lou Serif, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 at Ganzhorn Memory Care Center in Powell, Ohio on August 23, 2022. She spent over three years under their tender care, enriching her quality of life in her last years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who also worked a full time job well into her mid eighties. Mary Lou found time to enjoy golf with her family and friends, as well as enjoy international travel with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law. Gardening and bridge were two of her many passions.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Flumerfelt, her mother, Helen Flumerfelt, sister Jean Rutledge and husband George Serif. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Flumerfelt, sons Sam, Laurie (Cathy) and Cary (Kathie) Serif. She will be remembered by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A service will be held for Mary Lou and her husband George at 3PM on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. 480 Queenston Street, St. Catharines Ontario. Although a void has occurred with her passing, the lasting memories she left for each of us will lessen our loss.
