Mary Cockrell

Mary Louise Cockrell, 62, of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Mary was a victim of Retts Syndrome at one year of age. She resided many years at the Ohio Developmental Center in Mt. Vernon, where she received exceptional care from a devoted staff. Mary’s family is grateful and appreciative of the extraordinary efforts made to give Mary a safe, loving home where she could enjoy her life with dignity. Mary will always be remembered for her pretty smile. Preceded in death by her father, Ross Cockrell and sister, Iris Stanfield. Mary will be missed by her loving mother, Marjorie Cockrell; brothers, Harold (Diane) Blatt and Ross (Karen) Cockrell; and sisters, Carole (Donald) Cuthbert and Nancy (Steve) Przybylko; and brother-in-law, Neil Stanfield.
