Mary Ann Schneider Handley

Mary Ann Schneider Handley, age 62, passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 22, 2021 surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, and son-in-laws. Her life is celebrated by those she is survived by, husband of 37 years Stephen Handley; twin daughters Ellie (Bryan) Schlink and Grace (Parker) Walton; brothers Steve (Polly) Schneider and Tom Schneider; mother-in-law Rebecca Handley; brother-in-laws Jeff (Juan) Handley and Matt Handley; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by parents Wilbur and Helen Schneider, father in-law Herb Handley, and sister-in-laws Sue Schneider and Alicia Handley.

Mary Ann was born on July 30, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a proud graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and Miami University. Mary Ann spent 30 years as a dedicated and admired teacher, first at Watkins Middle School and then for many years at Gahanna Middle School West. Upon retiring, she loved spending her time on her favorite hobbies, including gardening, bird watching, antique collecting, and being with family. Mary Ann is fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, compassion for all, as well as her never-ending love and devotion to her family and friends. Her greatest passion in life was her family. Her memory will be cherished by those who love her forever and always.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna. A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Mifflin Presbyterian Church in Gahanna. Inurnment will take place at Mifflin Cemetery.
