Mary Ann DeLong

She was born on August 26, 1934 in Pickaway County to the late William and Gwendolyn Defenbaugh. She graduated from Salt Creek High School in 1952, and she attended Ohio University. Mary Ann met Dalton E. DeLong at the Laurelville Roller Rink, and they married on June 28th, 1953. Mary Ann was a faithful lifelong member of the Laurelville Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was involved with choir, teaching Sunday School and Bible School as well as being a UMW member. She was a 4-H advisor, substitute teacher and Eastern Star member.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Dalton, as well as her children, Sherry (Bobby) Bowers, Bill (Bev) DeLong of Laurelville and Dave (Amy) DeLong of Circleville. Mary Ann’s grandchildren, her pride and joy, are Meghan (Dustin) Yahn, Nathan DeLong, Avery and Bryce DeLong and Jordan DeLong White. She is also survived by her sisters, Lois Jones, Barbara Meade and Edith (Phil) Everett.

Visitation will be held at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, located on 151 East Main St Circleville, from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Visiation will also be held from noon to 2pm on Wednsday October 26 at The Laurelville Trinity United Methodist Church preceding the funeral. A funeral Service will be held at 2pm at the Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 18628 Laurel St, Laurelville, OH 43135, with visitation hours two hours prior. Pastor Brian Davis will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Laurelville Trinity United Methodist Church.
