Martha Burns Hart, age 67, of Aurora, passed away peacefully Monday, January 18, 2016. She was born on June 2, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James and Janet (Williams) Hart. She was raised in Sandusky, Ohio and attended Sandusky High School (Class of 1966). Martha attended Ohio Wesleyan University (Class of 1970) and received her Masters of Education at Duke University. After attending graduate school at Duke University, she lived in Charleston, South Carolina before returning to Ohio, where she spent the majority of her career as an Elementary Guidance Counselor in the Solon City Schools. In her free time, she loved cooking and entertaining, and treasured her time spent with good friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her children James (Donna) Hart, R. Andrew (Kimberly) Hart, and Elizabeth (Michael) Austin; grandchildren Mavis, Charles, June, Benjamin, Sophie, Anna, Henry, and David; and siblings Lois Hart, James (Mary Ellen) Hart, and Laura (Joseph) Factor. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Harriet Hart. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 30th at Grace Episcopal Church, 315 Wayne St, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, where family will receive friends at 11am.
