Mark Edwin Ulry of Pickerington Ohio, firstborn child of Walter and Mary Ulry, came into this world on February 23, 1959 and departed to his new heavenly home on April 4, 2021. He was a man of great faith.
Mark was owner/operator of Ulry Installations LLC and worked with designers and fabric houses installing window treatments in many commercial hospital and nursing home locations nationwide. He was known for his quality workmanship and commitment to the job details. His work was in high demand.
Mark was kind to all those in need. He spent countless hours working in the inner-city "Friends Ministry", providing meals and jobs to those less fortunate. His children were very involved in local sports and young people were attracted to his smile, kindness, and mentoring advice that he was known to give to those hurting or in need.
Mark fought and won a fierce battle with Leukemia followed by a bone marrow transplant in 2019. He fought that fight honorably and showed us that he was the strongest man we had ever known. His ensuing years of Graft Vs Host Disease left him immune suppressed and a high-risk candidate for Covid 19 virus, which he contracted Feb 4, 2021. This virus was the cause of severe respiratory failure which ultimately took his life.
Mark is survived by his spouse Dawn Ulry, sons Johnny Ulry (Nicole), Dylan Ulry (Chelsey), daughter Danielle Shaffer (Brad) and stepson Sam Sipes (Chelsea), 6 grandchildren (Laken, Owen, Lincoln, Wyatt, Amelia and Lilah), his parents Walter and Mary Ulry and 2 siblings Philip Ulry (Mindy) and Angie Spriggs (David).
