Marjorie "Marge" Gates

Marjorie “Marge” Gates, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2014. She was born January 7, 1924 in Columbus to the late George and Ellen (Malloy) Federer; also preceded in death by her husband, Myron “Rusty” Gates; son Michael; daughters Tricia Green and Mary Ellen; sister Jane (Sam) Mogavero and companion Paul Molleur. Marge graduated from Holy Rosary High School and was a charter member of St. James the Less Catholic Church. She retired from Ohio Bell and was an associate member of the Women’s Board of Pilot Dogs. Marge was a Candy Striper, enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, John “Chris” (Maureen) Gates and Linda (Michael) Gates-Tucker; twin brother Jack Federer and sister-in-law Wanda Custer; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will welcome friends from 4-7pm Monday (6:30pm Prayer Service), February 3, 2014 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Tuesday at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Ave., Columbus, OH 43224; interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery; Fr.
