Maria Wichman

Zaida Maria Wichman, 94, of Columbus, passed away on March 27, 2016. She was born on May 3, 1921 to Jose and Eligia (Angulo) del Carmen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald James Wichman. Maria was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She loved to travel, and did so extensively through Europe and South America with her family. She will be greatly missed by her sons Michael James (Ava Darlene) Wichman and Kenneth George (Jane) Wichman; and her grandchildren Ava Maria, Erika Kimberly, and Kurt James Wichman. Family and friends will gather to remember Maria on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 5-7 pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10 am at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Rd., with Pastor Tim Muller officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
