Maria Teresa Spreng

Maria T. Spreng, age 86 of Columbus, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014. Maria was born and raised in Romania, only child of the late Dejo and Elizabet Mezei. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Laszlo Spreng. Maria immigrated to the United States in 1962 in hopes for a better life for herself and her family. She was a talented artist who enjoyed both drawing and painting. Maria also enjoyed playing rummy, walking, bowling and traveling the world. Most importantly however, she valued family and took much pride in her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. The world has lost an amazingly kind, thoughtful, and loving person, but Heaven has gained a perfect Angel. She will be greatly missed by her loving son, Paul (Victoria) Spreng; grandchildren, Kristina and Christopher Spreng; and other dear friends. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Friday, July 25, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1055 E. Johnstown Rd. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
