Maggie O’Grady Trombetti, age 81, of Columbus, entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 12, 2014. She was born Margaret Mary Post on May 25, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH to the late John and Margaret Post, and was sister to John and Patricia (deceased).
She attended Notre Dame Academy and was a noviciate at the convent. She devoted her life to raising her three children, Shawn (Becky), Minneapolis, Michael (Claire), Chicago, and Maureen, Chicago. She will be missed by her loving husband of 20 years, Pete Trombetti. She also cherished her five grandchildren, Jack, Mary, Rachel, Caroline and Alexandra.
Maggie was a devout Catholic and member of St. Timothy parish where she was an avid volunteer and loved to sing in the Resurrection Choir. Maggie was a caring friend with a wonderful sense of humor. She was competitive and athletic, especially in bowling and tennis, and even had a hole in one in her 70’s. Maggie was well traveled and loved animals.
Maggie was preceded in death by her first husband, George O’Grady.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, OH 43220, Fr. William J. Faustner, Celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Timothy Church.
