Marcia Jean Hosier

Marcy and her late husband, Bud, were charter members of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. She participated in many of the activities at the church, including President of Women of the Church, council member, Teleios and Stephen minister, refugee sponsor and Highland Elementary school volunteer.

Marcy graduated from O.S.U, class of 1948, where she majored in medical technology and worked for many years at Columbus Children’s Hospital and at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Marcy was a volunteer at Mt. Carmel Hospital for many years, working in the chemistry laboratory.

She also had been active Young Associates of the Symphony Orchestra, Twig 80, and 9-holers at O.S.U. Golf Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bud, and her brother, Kenneth Coney. She is survived by her son, Steve and his wife, Mary, and their two children, Georgia and William, and six great granddaughters and by her son, Richard and his wife, Amy, and their two daughters, Phoebe and Hillary and one great grandson. Also surviving her is her brother’s wife, Winifred Coney, and their daughter, Susan Maniglia, and her family in Pennsville, NJ.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27th at the Mill Run Campus of the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church located at 3500 Mill Run Drive, Hilliard, Ohio.”
