Mabel L. (Wade) Bailey, age 99, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Monterey Care Center. She was born on October 11, 1910, to the late George and Ida Mae Wade. After graduating from London High School, Mabel spent several years caring for her mother before marrying her husband, Eugene Bailey. The two were co-owners of Grove City Welding, where she worked in the office, but mostly Mabel was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, and she was a wonderful cook and baker. She also liked fishing and canning, and she was involved in 4-H and the Farm Bureau Council. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Grove City. Mabel was quiet and kind, and she will be missed for her warm smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; brother, Ivan Wade; and sister, Edna Taylor. She is survived by nieces, Lois Neuenschwander, Marilyn (Warren) Wright, Joan (Louie) Eyerman, and Virginia (Don) Yors; and nephew, Robert (Penny) Taylor. Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
