Lynda L. Cardwell

Lynda L Cardwell, age 80 passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025. She was born May 25,1944 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Elmer "Bud" and Lucille Remaly. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell D Cardwell, Jr., her brother Bill Remali, and Margaret "Aunt Tilly" Zarse.

Lynda and Darrell found true happiness raising their family in their homes in Upper Arlington and Grandview. They developed lifelong friendships with their neighbors, who would ultimately become like family.

Lynda loved children; she babysat for many families in the neighborhood. She was a school bus driver for Dublin City Schools where she retired in 2017 after more than 20 years. She also loved spending time at her cabin at Buckeye Lake hosting many cookouts, playing cards with neighbors and cruising on her boat. Lynda love celebrating holidays with family and friends…her favorites being Christmas and the 4th of July. She also had a love for anything Disney, visiting Disney World and Disneyland on many family trips. And of course she loved cheering on the Ohio State Buckeye's.

Lynda leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and selfless generosity that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her daughter's Debbie(Larry) Bristow, Susan(John) Ledingham, and Kathy(Andy) Cardwell-Youngerman, her two grandsons Jack and Ethan Ledingham.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that she’s once again with the love of her life, Darrell…forever.

A visitation for Lynda will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221, followed by a funeral service at 4:30 PM. Interment will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
