Lucy Vogel Hickey

Lucy graduated from Holy Rosary Highschool. She was the parish secretary at St. Timothy Church for 48 years. Not only was she the secretary for St. Timothy, but she volunteered in the cafeteria, for the parish festival and participated in numerous activities at the church and school. Her favorite pastime when she was not at St. Timothy’s was working in her yard. She enjoyed being outside. Her favorite place to vacation was with her family at Emerald Isle beach!

Lucy is survived by her sister, Ann Vogel Standley, sister-in-law Katheleen (Kit) Vogel; her children Carol (Lee) Price, Jim (Lindsay) Hickey, Steve (Paula) Hickey; grandchildren Kelly, Erin, Emma (Ben) Bowling, Maddie, Ben, Abby, Claire, and Finn along with her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her brother Col. James R. Vogel and her husband Bill Hickey.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM on Friday, July 19, 2024, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43220. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Cemetery.
