Louis E. Csillag, age 74, long time resident of Worthington passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010. Lou was born in Lorain, Ohio on December 12, 1935; he was the son of the late Louis and Anna Csillag. Lou was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth. He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene; son, John; daughter, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Samantha and Jack, and their mother, Carla Morris; sister, Louise (Steve) Nagy; and special friends, Nancy and Dick Ollila. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960. Lou was a graduate of Lorain High School and Kent State University with a B.S. in Accounting. He began his career at Ernst and Whinney as an Auditor and then retired from D.L. Auld Company after a long career as V.P. of Finance. Lou was a founding member of Dublin-Worthington Rotary, a Paul Harris Fellow, a member of Worthington F.A.M. York Lodge #563, York Golf Club and Worthington Cardinal Boosters and Jaycees. Lou was an avid golfer and the family would like to thank the employees and golfers at York Golf Club for their patience and kindness. The family expresses gratitude to the members of Worthington-Dublin Rotary for the friendships which were very special to him, and to the kind people at Sunrise Place at Worthington and loving support at HomeReach Hospice at Riverside Hospital. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 6-8pm at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00 am at Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085 with Reverend Cyndy Garn officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. John Episcopal Church at a later date.
