Lorita Bertine Smith Haag Langdon, of Groveport, died Feb. 6 after an extended illness. She was 78.She was born to the late Lawrence Eldon and Bertine (Sloan) Smith, July 2, 1931 in Huntington, IN. Lorita graduated from Salamonie Twp. High School in1949, received her BA and Masters in education from Ball State University in 1966. Lorita began her teaching career in southeastern IN, continuing in Fort Wayne, IN, and retired as Professor Emeritus from Columbus State Community College, Columbus, Oh in 2001. Education was her life and her passion for over 50 years. Lorita married Bobby Haag, Sr. in 1952, they divorced in 1970. She later married Robert Langdon. Lorita is survived by her loving husband, Robert Langdon; children: Sue (Joe) DeLille, of Langsville, OH; Bob Haag, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale; Sandra Wetherell of Columbus, and Sally Decker of Pataskala; and close friend Kenny Basham. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn (Nelson) Bell of Andrews, IN, and one brother, George Smith of Hot Springs, AR; and many nieces and nephews.
