Lisa Michelle Amos, age 65, longtime resident of Dierker Road, died on Friday, August 27, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father, Dr. George A. (Tony) Amos, mother Eleanor J. Amos, brother Steve Amos. She is survived by her brother Kevin Amos and her many nieces and nephews. Lisa was very loving, had a great smile and gave her hugs freely.
She enjoyed competition and participated for many years in Special Olympics, often winning medals in various sports and contests. Lisa had wonderful experiences and memories at Recreation Unlimited which included an enduring friendship with Jimmy Crum. Above all else Lisa was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan whose posters, artwork, clothes and room decor were totally Scarlet and Gray. She loved dancing to OSU Marching Band music "Hang on Sloopy, the OSU Fight Song and saying "OH" "IO".
Lisa worked productively and proudly at ARC West. She was the first resident in 1988 at Dierker Road, now known as Boundless, where she loved her extended family of residents and staff. The Amos family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff that supported, interacted with, and loved Lisa over the years.
A private burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on September 8, 2021.
