Linda A. Neece

Linda Neece, 71, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to the late Darwin and Helen (Conley) Allen on March 12, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio, and was raised in Orient, Ohio. Linda graduated from Westfall High School, where she was extremely active in Girl Scouts and 4H, for which she raised her dearly beloved lambs. She then attended Ohio University and The Ohio State University, where she studied Interior Design. Linda recently celebrated her 42nd anniversary at G.E.E. Group as a technical recruiter and was awarded a Longevity Award in recognition of her loyalty and dedication to her successful and thriving career.

Linda was married to James David (Dave) Neece in June of 1973. Her greatest joy in life has been the role of devoted mother and grandmother. Linda is survived by husband Dave, children Brooke (Peter) Winkler, Christopher (Laura) Neece, and Blair (Ryan) Norris, and grandchildren Connor and Molly Winkler, Jackson, Shelby, and Mason Neece, and Rex, Emily, Elise, Ella, and William Norris. Linda is also survived by brother Michael Allen; dear Aunt Marian Bliss; precious cousins Melanie Valone, Colleen Learn, Janet Sempf, Kathy Adams, and Lisa Langford; nieces Kyleen Valone, Jennifer Yetter, Ashley Allen; and nephew Matthew Allen. A large extended family has been a blessing throughout Linda's life. Lifelong friends from Westfall were close to her heart.

Linda's honesty, strength, hard work, fierce determination, and love for others have been hallmarks of her character. Eyes the color of a summer sky, a beautiful smile, and her joyful laughter could fill a room, as she had a delightful sense of humor. Linda was a great lover of sports, particularly The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was always up for an adventure, whether that involved an afternoon of parasailing over the ocean in Mexico, zip-lining over alligators, or creating fairy tales for her children and grandchildren before bedtime. Favorite vacations involved weeks at the beach in South Carolina surrounded by family and saltwater taffy. She loved all holidays, as they were a time for family to come together, celebrate, and show their love for one another. Christmas was her favorite holiday, so it was only fitting that she went home to be with the Lord in December. Linda's faith has been a guiding force her entire life and enabled her to persevere through battles with strength and grace.

Godspeed, Mom. Meems, Memaw, Meemsypop, Grandma. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your magic. You will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Schoedinger Grove City, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A private funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at the funeral home. To view a webcast of the private service, please visit Linda's tribute wall and click on the webcast link, which will be available on Monday, December 21, starting at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are encouraged to attend her 11:30 a.m. graveside service on Monday at Muhlenberg Township Cemetery, 16905 London Road, Orient, Ohio. Guests are required to wear a mask at all times in the building and only 25 people will be allowed in the building at a time to ensure safety for all in attendance. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda's memory to Darby Fine and Dandy 4H Club and mailed to Debbie Bush, 12350 Park Road, Orient, Ohio, 43146. Linda was a huge advocate for 4H and we believe helping children in this manner would bring her great joy.
