Linda “Darlene” Mohr (née Walker), age 56, died on February 24, 2021 at Mount Carmel Hospital in Grove City, Ohio after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Darlene was born on November 30, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to Walter and Ruth Walker. She graduated from Groveport High School in 1984. Darlene married Joseph Mohr, her best friend and love of her life, on September 19, 1987, in Columbus, Ohio. During their marriage, Joe and Darlene welcomed two daughters, Felicia and Rachel. Her daughters remember her as a supportive mother who always encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Above everything, Darlene's husband, children, grandchildren, two dogs, and her family were her world and every day she always made sure to let them know how special they were to her. Darlene was fiercely loyal and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for those she cared about. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Darlene leaves behind her husband of 33 years, Joe; her daughters, Felicia Mohr (Samantha Losben) and Rachel (Nick) Currier; her grandchildren, Bentley and Bailey Currier; her doggie girls, Milo and Lexi; siblings, Don (Ronda) Walker, Tom (Brenda) Walker, and Judy Turner; brother-in-law, Bob (Dee) Mohr; niece and nephews, Angel (Kristen) Walker-Myers, April (Ryan) Milby, Nick (Julie) Walker, Chris (Jen) Walker, Missy (Doug) Randolph, Stephanie (Bryan) Bates, Mitchell (Ashley) Turner, Jimmy Turner (Stacie Mincy); and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth Walker; her in-laws, Robert and Virginia Mohr; brother-in-law, Robin Turner; and niece, Stefanie Walker.
Public visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Schoedinger Grove City, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will by invitation only. The link for her funeral webcast will be live 10 minutes before it starts on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10 a.m. GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS AND ONLY 25 PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING AT A TIME TO ENSURE SAFETY FOR ALL IN ATTENDANCE.
