Lewis Dulin, 84, of Columbus, passed away at The Gables of Westerville on October 16. He was born to Geraldine and Lewis Dulin in Columbus and became affectionately known as “Lewi”. He was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School where he shined in football and track. Lewi also graduated from Ohio State University where he was an active member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity. Lewi served his country in the US Army, primarily in Watertown, NY, until his honorable discharge to embark on a 39-plus year career at Timken.
Lewi was a very active member of Upper Arlington Church (UALC), including serving as congregation president and in the Kairos Prison Ministry. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, first wife, Judy Dulin, second wife, Gwen N. Dulin, daughters Lynn Weiskittle (Keith) and Lisa Dulin, sister Carole Turner and son-in-law Robert Liebert. Lewi is survived by son Dave Dulin (Linda), stepchildren Steve (Nancy) Walton, Susie Walton Liebert, Scott Walton (Heather), Shawn Walton (Suzi), sister Linda Heflin (Robert), brother Daniel Dulin (Paula), son-in-law Keith Weiskittle (Dianne), multiple nieces and nephews, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Lewi led an active lifestyle, enjoying racquetball, jogging, weightlifting, basketball, boating, golf, tennis, Ohio State football and traveling internationally.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 11, at 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at 2:00 pm at UALC Mill Run, 3500 Mill Run Dr, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
