Leticia A. "Letty" Thompson, age 91, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born June 24, 1925 in Chocope, Peru to the late Father Alejandro Ernesto Chang and Mother Sara (Sotero) Chang. Letty never met a stranger. All generations and cultures were welcomed with open arms at her dining table. She worked as an RN at OSU Medical Center in the Burn Unit over 20 years. She was preceded in death by husband, Roberto Thompson; brothers, Alex, Jose and Marcelo Nelson Chang; daughter, Patricia (Linda) Gonzalez; and grandson, Ian Gonzalez. Letty is survived by her children, Rey (Angela) and Edgar Thompson; grandchildren: Miguel, Nicholas, Daniel, Larisa, Nayum, Noah and Hope; great grandson: Parker; siblings, Yolanda, Arsenio, Frida, Roger, Gloria, Fredes, and Liliana Chang; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be held 2-6 p.m. Sunday, 16, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Columbus, OH 43230. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
