Leslie “Les” E. McGuire, age 79, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Oct. 19, 2023. He was born on Jan. 2, 1944 to the late Robert and Helen (Gray) McGuire. He joins in death his parents; grandparents BW and Emma Gray and John A. McGuire. Les married his loving wife, Sharon (Kehrer) McGuire on Oct. 28, 1967 who survives along with his daughter, Angela McGuire. Les graduated as a member of National Honor Society from Central High School in 1962. He worked at Huntington Bank for over 44 years until his retirement in 2006. He loved the game of baseball and he also started the fantasy Columbus Baseball League which he was a member of for over 60 years. He was also a proud member of the West Park United Methodist Church from birth until it closed in December of 2019. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Les’s name to the Columbus Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct., Hilliard, Ohio 43026. Visitation will be held on Tuesday Oct. 24, 2023 from 10AM to 12PM at the Advantage by Schoedinger Funeral Home – Hilltop Chapel 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 where the funeral service will start at 12PM. Burial will follow at Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
