Lena Ruth Scott

Lena "Ruth" Scott, 98, of Columbus passed away on September 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born October 6, 1922, in Wallins Creek, KY to Jarvis and Ella (Howard) Doan. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 53 years, Sterling P. Scott and her 12 siblings. Ruth will be missed by her daughters, Glenna (Robert) Toy and Paula (Lawrence) Kolesser, as well as grandchildren; Ann Lazenby, Rhonda Chadwick, Terry Rector, Paul (Theresa) Rector and Gary (Staci) Rector and great grandchildren; Brandy Barth, Danielle (Brandon) Kennemore, Aaron (Elena) Lazenby, Eric Lazenby, Shawn (Kristin) Rector, Amanda (Aron) Dzina, Alesha (Adam) Villa, Brittany (Aris) Faulkner, Cody Sterling Rector, Logan Rector and Emma Rector; and great-great grandchildren, Darby Vincent Kennemore, Liah Lazenby, Ava Lazenby, Ashlyn Rector, Arielle Rector, Glenn Villa, Alonzo Villa, numerous relatives and friends. Ruth was a member of the Alkire Road Church of Christ. She loved taking care of her family especially her grandchildren. She loved to travel with her husband and daughters. Working in her flower garden, clothes shopping, reading and sending cards to people were her favorite pastimes. Family will receive visitors from 11am until 1pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH prior to a 1pm funeral service.
