Leatha Baker Gordon

Leatha B. Gordon, age 91, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018. She was born on July 30, 1927 to the late Oliver and Garnet Baker. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband, John E. "Jack" Gordon; son John E. Gordon, Jr.; sisters Helen (Charles) Ogden, Grace Hall, Annabelle (Jim) Swick, Darlene (Lonnie) Butler. Leatha will be deeply missed by her sister Judy (Gary) Roberts; brother-in-law Eldon Hall; children Jane (Brian) Smith, Carol (Chris) McLoughlin, Alice Gordon (Jim); grandchildren Neil (Danielle) Grant, Jessica Kist (Aaron), Jordan McLoughlin (Ashley), Sonne (Nikki) Chaney, Luke Chaney, Sara Smith, Jesse Smith, Hanna Smith (Chris); great grandchildren Mackenzie, Olivia, Bentley, Gavin, Tyler, Colton, Cameron; nieces and nephews. Leatha worked as the Secretary to the Dean of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University, before retiring at the age of 60. She was an avid Cleveland Indians and Ohio State football fan. Leatha loved her many trips and traveling, reading and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 and Funeral Service 11am, Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Procession, and interment, to Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center, Ohio immediately following the funeral service.
