Laura Elizabeth Harvey

Laura Elizabeth Harvey, age 79, of Columbus, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Pickerington Care and Rehabilitation Center. Laura was born March 11, 1941 in Hinton, West Virginia, daughter of the late Eldridge Nelson and Laura Virginia Carter. Laura worked for the Board of Elections and H and R Block during tax season. She sat on the CRC East Advisory Board at the Clintonville/Beechwold Community Resources Center the past year. Besides her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Hopson and grandson, Mitchell D. Henderson II. She is survived by her three daughters, Donna (Mitchell) Henderson, Philette Wood and Kelli (Richard) Clark; son-in-law, Tony Hopson; 14 grandchildren, Lakeea, Makenzie and Sheldon Henderson, David Wood, Sandi Harvey, Richard Brian, Jamie, Courtney and Eric Clark, Tony Jr., Nikki "Melinda", Allison, Samuel and Lillian Hopson; 6 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Calliah, Jocelyn, Jayden, Jeremiah and Isabella; her daughters (Kelli and Karen) father, Willie Harvey; other relatives and many friends. Laura loved to travel, dining at fine restaurants and testing her luck at casinos. She supported St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the American Heart Association in their fundraising.

She was a strong-willed, independent woman. Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, 8029 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, OH.
