Larry C. Scott

A homecoming celebration for Larry C. Scott, 57, of Newark will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 383 Washington Street, Newark, with Rev. Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating.

Larry went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2013 while surrounded by family and friends.. He was born May 26, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Preston and Catherin (Hunter) Scott, Sr.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominos and cards. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was an excellent story teller.

Survivors include his children, Demia (Dave) Shanklin, Karrie (Tony) Glaze, Lawrence Scott, all of Newark, Marquise(Von) Jolly and Marcus Jolly of Orlando, Florida; brothers, Keith M. (Tina) Scott, John L. (Amanda) Scott, all of Newark; sister, Louise Countryman of Columbus; grandchildren, Breunna Norman, Sabra Scott, Markel Scott, Davian Scott, Makiah Scott, Kenleigh Scott, Jada Shanklin, Dayanna Bailey, Jeremy Walters and Jackson Glaze; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Andrew J. Scott, Preston Scott, Jr. and Melvin Jackson.
