Kathy Ann Walters

Kathy was preceded in death by her father Roger L. Fisher, Stepfather Cy Bennett, and brother Sam Fisher.

Kathy is survived by her mother Frieda A. Bennett, sister Linda S. Williams (Mike), brothers David L. Fisher (Wendy) and Michael E. Fisher as well as several nieces and nephews.

Kathy loved interior decorating, the outdoors, photography, music, flowers, family, and friends. Kathy was born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to California in the early 70’s where she eventually purchased a cabin on top of Mt Baldy with her dog, a handsome St. Bernard, she named Chevas. Some of her best memories were on top of that mountain and with Chevas by her side is where she always felt at peace with the world.

She was a women filled with selflessness, compassion, and an unwavering zest for life. Her vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and genuine care for others touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her quick wit, remarkable sense of humor and ability to find laughter in the simplest moments will forever remind us all to cherish the lighter side of life. Kathy moved back to Ohio in the early 90’s where she worked as a bartender building great long lasting friendships with many locals until she retired in 2020. Outside of working, Kathy enjoyed capturing God’s beautiful creation with her camera outside in nature.

This is what led to Kathy's unwavering faith in the existence of a spiritual realm. Her connection to the energy of the world around her was evident in the way she embraced life with a sense of wonder and curiosity. She was always eager to explore and expand her understanding of the mysteries of the spiritual world so much so, that Kathy and her mom worked together to publish a book called "The Things We Didn’t See!” in 2009. The book is full of a collection of unexplainable photos of nature and amazing orbs. The book also displays her personally not only in the photographs but with many of her life experiences along her journey. These photographs filled her entire home, where she would welcome friends and family to come sit, view, listen and enjoy the place where her spirit was free to soar.

We will miss her beautiful spirit and her infectious smile. We all loved her in our own unique way, and we will each hold our own special memory of her in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 3-6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd, Columbus, Ohio. Graveside service will be held on Thursday December 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery 9571 N. High St, Lewis Center, Ohio.
